School of Healthcare Management

The School of Healthcare Management provides education and training to address (a) the informational and management aspects of hospitals and healthcare services, and (b) the clinical governance framework for the delivery of high quality and safe healthcare. Courses such as Diplomas, and Specialist or Advanced Diploma are offered in these domains.

The School educates healthcare professionals in various aspects of healthcare quality (including clinical governance, patient safety and hospital accreditation standards) to provide them with opportunities to upgrade their knowledge, skills and qualifications. It also prepares leaders and managers to be better healthcare administrators through various management and leadership programs. Customer service courses are made available for nurses and frontline staff to help them provide the desired service behaviours in interactions with patients, family members and the public.

In addition, the School provides consultancy and training to hospitals and clinical departments for implementing and maintaining management frameworks that ensure patient safety and quality healthcare.
