Advanced Certificate in Clinical Governance

Course Description

Clinical governance is a complex and multi-faceted concept, dependent upon successful adoption of a whole systems approach that integrates clinical and non-clinical services. The successful integration of these various elements within any healthcare organization would lead to what is sometimes termed as 'healthcare governance'. This is all about establishing frameworks for sustaining and improving clinical quality, which requires sustained and concerted efforts from all staff in a healthcare organization.

We need to empower our frontline, supervisory and management staff to effectively implement clinical governance frameworks for their areas of work. One of the key recipes for successful implementation of clinical governance and creating an organizational culture geared towards clinical excellence is continuous professional education and learning. A course in clinical governance was conceived with this outlook.
