  • Course Description
  • Individuals with this qualification will be able to apply and contextualise leadership and people management skills and knowledge in a broad range of high-level professional work activities in a wide variety of contexts.

    Participants will acquire a sound understanding of theoretical concepts in leadership, people management and managerial approaches, and will develop a substantial degree of individual accountability and autonomy for self and others within defined boundaries.

  • Course Objectives
  • At the end of the programme, participants will:

    • • Be able to plan, prepare, and conduct interviews
    • • Be able to coach junior staff to improve work performance
    • • Be able to develop junior staff to their full potential

    • • Be able to develop a department budget
    • • Be able to forecast, acquire, and manage resources effectively to achieve department outcomes

  • Course Structure
  • Participants have the flexibility of attending any course within the programme, depending on their individual training needs. Upon successful completion and assessment of all five courses, participants will also receive a formal recognition through the award of the WSQ Professional Diploma in Leadership and People Management. The WSQ Professional Diploma in Leadership and People Management is a nationally recognised qualification indicating that the participants are able to apply and contextualise leadership and people management skills and knowledge in a range of work activities.
